Investigation Mission in the Central Africa Republic

Following the adoption of  a resolution on the situation of children in the Central African Republic during its 23th ordinary session held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from April 7 to 16, 2014, the Committee thus decided to undertake mission with the main objective  of providing answers and recommend solutions to improve the protection of children affected by the conflicts. Specifically, the missions aims at assessing the impact of the armed conflict on children and identifying the main capabilities and gaps in terms of resources for the prevention and solutions to be provided to children affected by armed conflicts.

From 15-20 December, 2014, the ACERWC undetook a field visit to Central Africa Republic and had several meetings with Governments officials,  UN Agencies, INGO and Civil society Organization.
