Joint Statement ACERWC_ACHPR on the Upcoming Reading of the Child Rights Act_19-May-2025_Sierra Leone

The African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC/the Committee) and the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women in Africa (SRRWA) of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) have jointly issued a follow-up letter to the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone regarding the upcoming reading of the Child Rights Act 2024.

Le Comité Africain d’Experts sur les Droits et le Bien-être de l’Enfant (CAEDBE) a mené une mission au Burundi du 24 au 27 Février 2025. Cette mission s’inscrivait dans le cadre du suivi de la mise en œuvre des Observations finales et des Recommandations du Comité adressées à l’État partie en 2017. Au cours de cette mission, la délégation du Comité a été reçue par Son Excellence Prosper Bazombanza, Vice-Président de la République du Burundi.
